33 (Mummy Is Cool)

Another couple of years, and Tara will think that I'm ancient (like we thought that our parents were ancient) (which they were't really). So rather than ageing gracefully and counting my grey hairs (plenty! too time consuming a job!), I'm proving a point today and drag my daughter to the playground for a cool young mummy photo shoot. And here we go. I'm ageing. I'm cool. I'm young. Tara is not impressed. But she will be, she will be...

PS.: Daddy, we missed you today. You cound have eaten so much Butterkuchen!

Happy (belated) Birthday!!!! Isn't it amazing how young you actually are at 33? Doesn't it kind of feel the same as being, say, 25? Or, rather, wouldn't it just feel like being 25 if people would just bugger off and quit saying ugly things about turning 30 and, ugh, possibly unspeakable numbers beyond that? I'll say that 33 is the new 25 and possibly always was but people (e.g. doctors, professors who want to pressure you into submitting (or writing!) your dissertation, cosmetics giants and fashion magazines with detestable columns about "30 things to do before you turn 30!") try to trick you into believing otherwise (and so does biology and, quite persuasively I'm afraid, gravity). So we'll just have to outsmart them, prove them wrong and create our own alternative reality in which we are 33-year-olds who are not only young but pretty damn cool, too. (however our kids are going to feel ashamed of us just the same at the latest once they reach puberty and will try to tell us to act our age - whatever that means - so you might as well enjoy it while it lasts! :-) )

Hope you had a good day!!!

Love
Uli

P.S. Are there no pictures of Tara meeting Lia and Joshi? I'd love to see some but none of you are posting any! How come?
