Home is where the heart is, and to us that is where Tara and Leo are. At the moment, it's England (where Tara and Leo were born). But it could just as well be Germany (where Alex is from) or Spain (where Jose is from). The kids' diary is for all our friends and family who can only watch our babies grow from a distance - and of course, for Tara and Leo, with love.

Lucky Tara and poor Tara! Happy Easter any way!
By the way, Kai has received your lovely present. He has been playing with it a lot. Thank you Tara!
no chicken pox vaccine in the UK?
I was thinking the same thing Yael!
Me, too! Have you had chicken pox yourself, Alex? Otherwise that might cause some problems...
Chicken pox VACINE?? And here's me thinking getting them is a normal part of life that we all have to go thru and better at 2 than at 13 like me. Hell, I considered exposing her to them when she was but a year old, thinking the sooner the better! NEVER heard of a vacine. Here, everyone just gets them and has a week off work. Nursery. When I next see a doctor I will enquire.
No chicken pox/ measles/ rubella/ pertussis/ meningitis/ encephalitis/ mumps for my children. Even if we're usually a little late for vaccinations, they DO get them - eventually. Go and ask, Alex!

this is why the vaccine is NOT recommended.

Hello u poor, poor chick. Hope u are better. Egg looks fabulous, and so does the chick. Not so the chicken pox.
I remember we discussed this when Thomas got chickenpox - at least Tara does not appear to have spots in her hairline, her scalp and inner ears. Although unpleasant at any age it is better to catch whilst young - at least now she will be self vaccinated and I am sure the easter egg tasted just as good, if not better - nothing like a little bit of self indulgence to make one feel good inside - Janet
To spare my child a 'tearful itchy hell' is enough reason to me for vaccination. There are still plenty of other (new) illnesses they have to go through anyways.
