Have we got anyone fooled into thinking that Tara likes having her picture taken? Hah! That would be because I take gadzillions of pictures and then select the best, i.e. the ones where she's actually, accidentally, looking rather than patiently studying the floor until the offensive camera has been removed. Occasionally, however, she remembers that she can have some input on what kind of pictures I get to take, and that's when she loves to pose for me. In poses she chooses. Like this.
Mad monster. Grrrr... And then she looks up and laughs about the fun we've just had, and forgets I still have that camera. Ha!

I say, after age 2, you've just got to change your approach and embrace the photojournalistic-style photos of your kid. Sure, years from now she'll just think she was REALLY depressed, always looking down, or away from the camera...and you may have to pay for therapy, but at least you've got pics, unlike the second child of mine...and yours...heck, maybe you'll get a two-for-one deal on counseling sessions...or we can all get together and do an intervention, a photo intervention. Or not. Maybe just go on vacation and we'll all do a little beach therapy and take photos, happy ones, heads up, no black socks allowed of course.
Whats that? I forgot my meds? Indeed.
